You make it look so easy!

I was given a huge set of paints, canvases and brushes for Christmas, and having never painted before I've been a bit apprehensive to get started. After about 6 weeks of dabbling unsuccessfuly with acrylics, I've switched to water colours. I'm so glad I found you!

Your Cornish harbour is beautiful, by the way. I was in Padstow just a few weeks ago. I love it there....it's an artist's paradise.

Its like anything you do the more practise the better you will get. Just keep at it and don't get put off in the early stages.

Padstow is beautiful I've painted there lots too.

Keep up with the watercolour keep sketching whenever you have the chance and it will soon fall into place.

If you need help with anything just leave messages on this site and I will do my best to demontstrate anything your struggling with.

Have fun!

.......I have a lovely new box of Winsor & Newton artists' paints, but no paint brushes (I lost all my stuff a few years ago and haven't painted since).

I think I'm putting off buying the brushes because I'm scared to paint again. But seeing your paintings and the way you make your demos look so easy, I may be brave enough to start up again soon!

Thanks!

I enjoyed watching your sky video - came across it on You Tube. Now I have to try - like that you use primary colours and mix to get the desired colours. I was especially glad to see how you arrived at the undersides of the clouds.
